They always say that "history repeats itself." But what does this have to do with anything and why are you learning it in school anyways? Well, I hope to explain why this matters.

You may be wondering, why do we have to learn this stuff anyways? It all happened in the past. However, that is exactly why you have to learn it, because history repeats itself. You see, although you may not know how to predict the future, you can at least learn from the past with your knowledge of history to try to figure out what could possibly happen in the future. And this, in itself, is why you should learn history.
